Position Description

Our client, a major consumer durables producer seeks a Sales Director. Reporting to the president, the position will have responsibility for creating and maintaining the go-to-market strategy, sales, product-margin mix, promotions, and P&L, for several leading consumer brands.

Key Responsibilities Include

Establishing and executing the strategic marketing partnerships with leading U.S. based retailers. Lead executive regarding the sales and growth initiatives with major retailers such as Home Depot, Best Buy, Kohl's and others. Top-tier relationship management with senior decision makers, while utilizing and directing internal company resources associated with marketing, product development, customer service and finance.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Leadership, a willingness to lead, take ownership, offer direction, and manage major accounts and internal company talent.

Must possess a demonstrated track record of success leading the national sales efforts of a major brand, or product category,through the national retail channel.

Suitable candidates must have 5-10 years experience at this level, business degree, MBA highly preferred.

Our client, a global iconic brand in the consumer sports equipment sector, has retained us to execute a Vice President of Sales & Marketing search, for a stand alone U.S. division.

Based in the U.S. headquarters, the VP Sales & Marketing will have full charge of sales, business development, marketing, strategy, budgets, product, and customer service.

Duties

The VP Sales & Marketing will lead all key groups and staffs associated with the sales and marketing functions. Additional duties will include hands on management of the division's rep groups covering North America, top-tier customer interface, margin control and all P&L issues associated with the division.

This is a senior, key position that will help chart and lead the company’s growth initiatives including, product development, sales to national retailers, and the company’s large independent dealer network.

Work closely with the company’s worldwide senior leadership teams to grow and fine tune the division, promote and build the brand in the U.S. marketplace.

Qualifications

Seven-ten years leading and inspiring a national sales force for a company or division with over $150M in sales.

Experience leading sales & marketing for a top-tier, established, non-commodity, consumer products brand.

Sales P&L management; negotiations, pricing, product and margin mix enhancement.

Cross-functional progressive leadership roles in sales and marketing positions; product management, strategy, national and independent account management, sales team leadership.

VP Information Technology 

The Vice President of Information Technology leads technical strategies, serves on the executive team, reports to the President, leads and manages the overall information technology initiatives for the company.

Overview

This newly created role offers the opportunity to lead key groups and make a significant and noticeable impact on several mission-critical areas. The VP IT will lead Integration, and Technical Operations teams, analyzing current structure and making appropriate changes to support ongoing growth. You'll have the opportunity to work with the President and other key team members to define the role and shape the technical departments. Duties

The VP of Information Technology is responsible for the design, development and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems. Direct and mange IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for the company’s data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.

As a company executive, the Vice President of Information Technology serves in a leadership role. High-level tasks could include identifying emerging information technologies to be analyzed, assimilated and integrated within the organization. Professionals in this role may also oversee the development of mission-critical applications and technology to support the company’s long-term goals while providing direction and leadership to one or a number of development teams.

Leading technology planning is another important responsibility. The VPIT will drive the implementation of development best practices throughout the organization, while governing control and ensuring objectives are achieved. Risk management, resource allocation, project prioritization, and research and recommendation of new systems and software products.

Additional duties include hiring and managing computer specialists and other technical workers to implement projects. Coordinate with other executives and organizational leaders to approve budgets and equipment purchases.

Qualifications

* Advanced knowledge of business environment, systems architecture, and production operations.

* Working knowledge of management processes such as personnel administration, planning and budgeting.

* Knowledge of financial systems.
